This is the first toy of this kind that has no problem running on carpeted floors! Yes, it will be much more agile on hard surface, but carpets are okay too! The battery lasts for about 5 minutes on a carpet; fortunately, that perfectly aligns with my elderly cat's attention span. Excellent value, borderline unbelievable!

I saw a similar product advertised on youtube and decided to try this to see if my cat liked it. It's a little noisy (but does sound like a mouse) and i'm not seeing a great difference in speed but it's fun. Hopefully my cat agrees.

I got these for my friend that just recently adopted a cat and already has a dog. She took them home and phoned laughing hysterically, claiming that both her dog and the cat were all over the place chasing these things. My friend, her dog, and her cat just love them. Funny how something so cheap could keep so many entertained. They were worth every cent and more.

These are fantastic, and we have several of them to keep our insatiable cat happy. He brings them to us and asks for them to be turned back on. Each unit varies slightly in behavior, and I wish they would last a bit longer, but we love these.

Good value for the price. the toy is a bit loud on my hard wood floors but is a little easier on carpet. definitely not for shy easily startled cats, almost better for puppies or dogs.

My cat loves it, will play with it all day. It will only charge with the wire provided other wires of the same type do not work and the battery runs out quickly. Will pick up dust and hair around your house too and get trapped in it but overall nice toy and not too noisy.
